Sculpture garden
A landscaped outdoor space designed for the display of sculpture, where the grounds and the works are curated together as a single experience.
The useful contrast is with the art trail: a garden is bounded and curated (often by a museum or foundation, with works sited in deliberate dialogue), while a trail is distributed through everyday space, woven into streets people are already using. Gardens control the experience; trails meet people where they are. Sculpture parks at landscape scale blur the line, and plenty of cities benefit from having one of each doing different jobs.
